I loved how BarkU updated me on my dog’s experience while there. I felt very comfortable leaving him in the care of BarkU and highly recommend them to anyone with pets.
Our dog and the family love BarkU. The staff are super friendly, and our dog seems happy to go for the day or a few nights stay. We particularly enjoy getting snapshots of her playing with other dogs during her stay. Grooming must be scheduled far in advance, but the end result is always worth the wait.
Takes good care of my dog and sends pictures. My dog is excited everytime I go there.
Thrilled to have Bark U for day care and boarding for our precious dog. He loves the opportunity to socialize, play on the outdoor playground and learn a few new behavioral commands. I recommend Bark U as the staff is very professional, helpful and truly know your pet.
I have a 4 year old Yorkie (Lucy), and I wouldn’t board her anywhere but Bark U! There are so many reasons why Bark U is the best! The owner and staff are amazing and take such great care of Lucy - they treat her like one of their own. They send updates and photos during her stay (which are so much fun to receive!). I also love that my dog is out playing and interacting with other dogs and staff during the day, instead of being stuck in a crate. Whenever I travel, it’s such a relief to know that I don’t have to worry about Lucy - I know that she is being well taken care of and having a blast. I can’t recommend Bark U highly enough, and the fact that I live in Center City and travel on the Schuylkill for Bark U should tell you just how much I love it (and my dog). 😉
Our dog is always happy to be boarded at Bark U. They are easy to work with and responsive.
Tasha, our Siberian Husky, always loves boarding at Bark U. Whenever we bring her there, she cannot wait to join her canine friends for play time, especially water play. The staff at Bark U all know her, and take excellent care of her.
We boarded our puppy at Bark U for 9 days for the first time last week. I was super nervous because we had never done this before and we are all very attached to our puppy. Bark U did a great job at giving us updates on our puppy and sending pics. It made me feel she was well loved and taken care of. She loves going to to daycare as well so I feel super secure when leaving her. The staff is wonderful at Bark U!
Bark U is AMAZING!! My dog loses her mind when the van comes to take her to ‘school’. She just absolutely loves being there and playing with the other dogs and staff. To top things off, they do an excellent job grooming her. Highly highly highly recommend!!
Laura at Bark U has been fantastic with my cattle dog mix. My dog came to me years ago with his nails touching his pads. It took time before we found Laura and it’s made having Barney’s nails trimmed stress free. She understands my nervous boy. She also understands how long his quicks are. It’s a bit of a ride for a nail trim, but Barney has no fear of walking into Bark U and has a calm demeanor when Laura brings him out to me after his trim. I can’t recommend her enough.

The ideal age is between 10-14 weeks so that we can maximize their potential during the critical socialization period. We recommend that your puppy be living in your home for at least 1 week prior to starting the program.
What do I do if I want to enroll my puppy in the Socialization Program but he/she does not have all of their shots?
Puppies are not required to get a rabies vaccination until they are 4 months old. For other vaccinations, we require that the puppy be as up to date as possible in order to be protected.
Will my puppy be given potty breaks while there?
Yes absolutely. We have built in potty breaks throughout the day in order to reinforce potty training.
Do I attend the program with the puppy?
You do not attend the program with your puppy. You will drop your puppy off in the morning and pick up a well socialized and trained puppy at the end of the day. On the first day, you will receive a Bark U Backpack and a Syllabus to follow along with the program. You will also receive weekly report cards, pictures and homework so you can see how your dog is doing and in order to reinforce behaviors at home.
Are there any prerequisites for the Undergrad Program?
