As winter approaches, many of us love to be bundled up indoors. However, that doesn’t mean our dogs do! It’s important that your dog still gets out to exercise, play, and let out their energy. Below are some tips to ensure your pup is happy this winter!

Protect Those Paws

When going for walks outside, snow, ice, and salt can damage your dogs’ paws. To help, invest in a pair of dog booties or some paw salve to protect their paws!

Tip: Some paw salves also work on noses, which can also get dry in the colder months!

Enrichment

There are many ways to provide enrichment to your pup- from games to feeding toys! Just like humans, dogs need stimulation to ensure they do not go stir-crazy! Providing these outlets via enrichment allows your dog to exercise their brain and release some pent-up energy. While enrichment is amazing, and should be integrated each day- sometimes your pet needs more, which is why we recommend….

Doggie Daycare

At the end of the day, doggie daycare is a great option for any season. Even if it’s a few days a week while you work, your pup will thank you!
