Boarding and Daycare: Payment is taken at the time of the booking.

Training Programs: We require full payment to book a training program.

Grooming: We require a $35 deposit at the time of the booking.

CAN I COME TOUR

Yes! You can either view a virtual tour by going to the “Our Facility” page on your website or you can schedule a tour through our customer portal.

IS THERE A FEE FOR DOGS WHO CAN NOT SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER DOGS?

All dogs staying with us must be suitable for group play. In the event that there is an issue and your dog needs to be removed from group there is an additional charge of $60/day added to your dogs stay for private play and one on one accommodations. This fee is due to the labor-intensive nature of individual supervised play and care.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

WHAT IF MY DOG DOES GET INJURED?

In the event of an illness or injury, we will quickly assess the situation to determine the best plan of action and you will be contacted immediately. In these situations, we will either rush the pet to the closest vet; or in non-emergency situations, we will take the pet to their own vet. We work closely with local Veterinarians and our priority is always what’s best for your pet.

DO YOU ADMINISTER MEDICATION?

If your pet needs medication, supplements or vitamins, we require that you provide the medication to us in the original container. The container must clearly indicate the patient name, medication name, strength, dosage, and the prescribing veterinarian if applicable. Please do not bring any medication, supplements or vitamins already mixed with your pet’s food.

*Medication are only administration by Managers and additional fees apply.

We do not accept dogs that require insulin injections.

DO YOU HAVE A FLEA/TICK POLICY?

Yes. We do ask that all pet parents place their pets on preventatives or check their pets for fleas and ticks before bringing them to play or stay. If fleas are found, we will provide a flea bath to eliminate them. If ticks are found, we will remove them. Additional charges will be applied to your stay.

IS THERE A STAFF MEMBER WITH THE DOGS OVERNIGHT?

Absolutely. Not only does our facility have monitored security system and alarms, our facility is also staffed 24/7 to ensure the safety of all the dogs in our care.

POLICIES

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR CHANGE MY RESERVATION?

Boarding:   We require any cancellation or alterations be made to your reservation at least one week prior to your scheduled arrival to be eligible for a refund. Alternatively, you can opt for our Trip Protection Plans, which grant you the flexibility to cancel or modify your reservation anytime, ensuring a full refund.

Daycare: Same day cancellations and no shows will be charged for the day. If you cancel the day before, you will receive a full refund.

DAYCARE

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

If your dog is under 6 months, you may pack your dog a lunch, but we also have many delicious options you can add on to your dog’s day such as an assortment of stuffed kong’s and marrow bones.

DO I NEED TO BOOK DAYCARE IN ADVANCE?

We do not require booking in advance, but we do recommend calling ahead to ensure we have a spot for you. We occasionally fill up and may have to refuse those that do not have a reservation.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO ASSESS MY DOG?

We require assessments for all dogs that come to our facility. Our assessments allow us the opportunity to meet with you and answer questions, as well as ensure your expectations and needs are met and to determine if our facility is the best fit for your dog.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAYCARE AND ENRICHMENT DAYCARE

Enrichment daycare adds both mental & physical exercise into your dog’s day. It includes group play, socialization and games, training and toy play. Whereas standard daycare is simply group play and socialization all day.

BOARDING

WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR MY DOG’S OVERNIGHT STAY?

Food: All meals be individually packed in pre-portioned bags. You are welcome to add treats as well. Wet food need not be pre-portioned. Large containers or bags with multiple meals will not be accepted. If food arrives not portioned appropriately, a bagging fee will be applied as our team will portion it for accuracy and proper distribution.

Medication: Please bring your medication in its original container properly labeled. Do not put supplements or powders in pre-portioned meal bags.

Comfort Item: Clients are permitted to bring one personal comfort item for their dog, such as a towel or a t-shirt. This item must be permanently labeled for identification. Orthopedic beds are provided for all of our guests.

WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES TO BOARD MY DOG AT BARK U?

We require that all dogs coming to board with us are over 3 months old, have their rabies & distemper vaccinations, or age appropriate vaccines, and has passed their Temperament Assessment.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF BOARDING, WILL MY DOG BE CRATED ALL DAY?

When your dog stays with us, they will receive a full day of supervised play and care from a fully trained staff. Your dog will only be in their designated sleeping area for mealtime and bedtime.

TRAINING – PUPPY PROGRAM

WHEN CAN MY PUPPY START THE PROGRAM?

The ideal age is between 10-14 weeks so that we can maximize their potential during the critical socialization period. We recommend that your puppy be living in your home for at least 1 week prior to starting the program.

WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO ENROLL MY PUPPY IN THE SOCIALIZATION PROGRAM BUT HE/SHE DOES NOT HAVE ALL OF THEIR SHOTS?

Puppies are not required to get a rabies vaccination until they are 4 months old. For other vaccinations, we require that the puppy be as up to date as possible in order to be protected.

WILL MY PUPPY BE GIVEN POTTY BREAKS WHILE THERE?

Yes absolutely. We have built in potty breaks throughout the day in order to reinforce potty training.

DO I ATTEND THE PROGRAM WITH THE PUPPY?

You do not attend the program with your puppy. You will drop your puppy off in the morning and pick up a well socialized and trained puppy at the end of the day. On the first day, you will receive a Bark U Backpack and a Syllabus to follow along with the program. You will also receive weekly report cards, pictures and homework so you can see how your dog is doing and in order to reinforce behaviors at home.

ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES FOR THE UNDERGRAD PROGRAM?

Yes. We require that your dog complete our Puppy Socialization Program in order to enroll in the Undergrad Program.

TRAINING – UNDERGRAD PROGRAM

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE LIKE FOR THE UNDERGRAD PROGRAM?

During the day your dog will have structured play time and individual training sessions throughout the day with the Trainer.

DO I ATTEND THE UNDERGRAD PROGRAM WITH MY DOG?

You do not attend the program with your dog. On the first day, you will receive a Syllabus to follow along with the program. You will also receive weekly report cards, pictures and homework so you can see how your dog is doing and in order to reinforce behaviors at home.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP CLASSES OR PRIVATE TRAINING?

We are not currently offering private training or group classes.

SALON

WHY DO YOU NOT GIVE EXACT PRICING BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT?

The price greatly depends on breed, size, and condition of your pets coat. Additional charges will apply for de-matting, de-shedding, severe behavioral problems, excessive coat and flea treatments due to the additional time needed. When you arrive for you appointment, you will have a consult with a Stylist who can give you a better estimate after looking over your dog.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY DOG TO BE GROOMED?

This depends on each individual dog & the day. We focus on taking our time to make sure each animal is as comfortable with the process as possible & because of this, we cannot give an exact time. However, we will send you a text when your dog is almost finished.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY DOG BE GROOMED?

To maintain a healthy, clean, matt free coat, dogs should be groomed on a routine basis of every 4-6 weeks. Your dog does not always have to get an all over haircut, they can rotate between baths and/or tidy grooms.
